The award honors our contribution to the collaborative culture, and our work with Yara International.

This acknowledgement means a lot and confirms the value of the way we work as expressed by Jarann Wold Pettersen, Chairman of the Board of Powered by Telemark: ”We believe the company is an excellent example of what the region desires – both in terms of their contribution to the culture of collaboration and the problems they dare to tackle in new ways.”

The award recognizes companies that collaborate to solve a problem. The Grenland industrial region has the most ambitious goal of making region climate positive by 2040. We perceive this ambition to permeate the entire organization of Yara, and we notice a strong engagement to find solutions to their ambitious emission reduction targets.

From 2021 our engagement and presence at Herøya and in Grenland has been unwavering. Our partnership with Yara International focuses on exploring commercial opportunities for carbon capture and electricity production.

We are currently considering carbon capture linked to Yara's proposed expansion project at its calcium nitrate plant at Herøya, and we foresee increased cooperation with partners in this interesting region.
